Peugeot 806 Fuel Pump Issues

My 2002 Peugeot 806 with a gasoline engine is showing signs of a failing fuel pump: won't start, stalls at idle, check engine light, rough running, and increased fuel consumption. Error code is stored. I suspect a bad cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this?

Sounds like a car with a clogged artery, starved of fuel. Check the fuel pump relay; a bad relay acts like a faulty switch, cutting power intermittently. Did you check that already?

Where is the fuel pump relay located and what diagnostic steps did you use to confirm it was working? Any help appreciated.

The relay is usually near the fuse box, but it was a pain to find. Considering the error codes and your symptoms, I think you should just take it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly; sure sounds like the pump itself is giving up.

Took it to a technician who found a defective cable or plug connection. Repair cost 95€. Thanks for the help.
