Peugeot 806 Misfire

Hi, I'm having some issues with my 2002 Peugeot 806 (gasoline engine). It's done 125584 km. Recently, the check engine light came on, and the engine's running really rough, especially at idle. When I accelerate, it jerks quite a bit, and the power seems reduced. I'm getting combustion misfire codes. Could it be spark plugs?

Hey, I had similar symptoms with my 806. Rough idle, check engine light, the works. Have you checked the ignition coils too? Misfires can be tricky.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the ignition coils yet, but will do it. Was the problem ignition coil in your case? Anything else I should look for before replacing parts?

For me it was the injectors. That fixed all issues with combustion misfires, rough running and loss of power. I'd suggest going to a workshop, so they can check the injectors. Cost me 515€ to fix it.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a defective injection valve. Replaced them, and now it runs smoothly again!
