Peugeot 806 System Readiness Error
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Peugeot 806 owner experienced a 'system readiness check incomplete' error after using an OBD2 reader, which also appeared on the speedometer. This issue may be linked to a recent exhaust system inspection, as similar problems have been reported with older Peugeots where the ECU fails to store readiness flags after diagnostics. The error often resolves itself after a few drive cycles without incurring any cost.

Yeah, now that you mention it, the exhaust system was checked during the inspection. Why do you ask? Is there a known issue?

Could be related. My issue was similar and appeared after a diagnostic check and inspection. The workshop told me that some ECUs have problems to store the readiness flags after reading out. Check the exhaust system and visit the workshop.

That's really helpful. Seems like after doing some research myself, it's a pretty common thing with older Peugeots after an OBD read. Turns out the error cleared itself after a few drive cycles. No cost!

I had a similar issue with my 806 after a vehicle inspection. Was the exhaust system checked at the same time?
