Thanks for the quick reply. I did check the fuses; they're all good. I tried listening to the compressor, but it's hard to tell with the ambient noise. Are you saying that no compressor noise at all would mean it's completely dead, or could a subtle issue be hidden by other sounds?

Right, fuses checked, compressor sounds inconclusive... Sounds familiar! With my Bimmer, the compressor was stone dead - no noise whatsoever. If you're not hearing anything, even a faint hum, it's not looking good, is it? Honestly, at this point, I'd strongly consider taking it to a workshop. Air suspension can be a real can of worms, and you don't want to end up making things worse trying to fix it yourself.

I appreciate your insights. You've reinforced my suspicion about the compressor. Given the complexity, I'll take it to a workshop. A detailed inspection revealed a faulty connection with the result, that I will only need to pay 95€.

Whoa, sounds like a proper headache! Had a similar drama with my old BMW 5 series a few years back - the air suspension went kaput in a spectacularly inconvenient fashion. Vehicle was basically scraping along the road! Did you check the fuses first? Seems obvious, I know, but sometimes it's the simplest things that trip us up. Also, have you had a listen to the compressor itself? Is it making any noise at all when you try to raise the suspension? Like a pathetic wheezing sound maybe?
