Peugeot 807 Central Locking Problem

Doors on my 2006 Peugeot 807 with a gasoline engine won't lock or unlock, either with the remote or the central locking button. I suspect a faulty door contact signal. Anyone seen this before? Where should I start?

I had a similar issue with my Volvo V70. The central locking acted up, and it was a bad door sensor. Sounds like an electrical problem, maybe a broken wire or corroded connector in the door latch. Did you check the wiring harness between the door and the car body? They get damaged from opening and closing.

Where on the wiring harness should I look? How can I test the wires without messing things up?

On my Volvo, the wire break was hidden in the rubber boot protecting the wires from the door frame to the door. I couldn't see it at first. Wiggling the wires while watching the central locking pinpointed it. But modern car electronics are complex. Get a technician to look at it to avoid making it worse.
