Peugeot 807 Electrical Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Peugeot 807 is experiencing electrical errors, including a dead navigation system and stored error codes. The mechanic suggests that the control unit's programming might be implausible. A failing battery could be a potential cause, but deeper software issues are likely. A full diagnostic and possible software reset at a workshop are recommended solutions.

Good question. No, nothing that I can think of. The battery is original I think, could that really cause this kind of electronic chaos? I thought a dead battery just meant it wouldn't start...

Yeah, on these cars a failing battery can cause all sorts of strange electrical issues. However, if it's never been changed after all those miles, maybe it's time anyway and might solve some issues. But, from what you describe about error memory and navigation issues, I'm afraid that point to deeper software issue. Best to get it checked properly in the workshop – they can run a full diagnostic and reload the control unit software if necessary.

Thanks for the insight! I suspected it might be something along those lines. My mechanic quoted around 240€ for a software reset, so I'll get it booked in. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had similar gremlins in my 807 a while back. Was anything done recently to the car that might have triggered it? Maybe a battery change or any work on the electrical system?
