Peugeot 807 Emergency Call System Fault

Hi, I'm having an issue with my 2011 Peugeot 807 diesel. The emergency call system seems to have gone haywire. I'm getting an error message displayed, along with a warning light, and the diagnostic check is showing an error stored. I've checked the fuses and the wiring harness around the telematics unit, but I can't see anything obviously wrong. Anyone experienced anything similar?

That's frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old Volvo V70. Different car, but the symptoms sound almost identical. In my case, it turned out to be a dodgy connection in the wiring loom related to the telematics system. Was there a recent software installation?

Thanks for the reply! No, I haven't had any recent software installations. The last time it was at the shop was for an oil change. Where exactly was the dodgy connection located in your Volvo? Any chance it might be a similar area in the Peugeot?

Unfortunately, I can't recall the precise location of the fault. It was quite a while ago, and the workshop sorted it out for me. My advice would be to take it to a trusted mechanic who has experience with Peugeot's telematics systems. They should be able to pinpoint the problem with their diagnostic tools.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestion. I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on – turned out to be a faulty plug connection on the telematics unit. They cleaned the contacts and secured the connection, and it's all working fine now. Cost me 95€, so not too bad. Thanks again for your help!
