I haven't checked the voltage. I assumed a low battery warning meant it was dying. I find it hard to believe that something this small is causing these electrical problems. What issues did you have, and what did you do to fix it?

My experience aligns with yours, albeit with a slightly different progression of symptoms. Ultimately, the diagnostic path led to the key fob battery. Given the stored error and the keyless access malfunction, replacement is prudent. I recommend a workshop visit for professional diagnostics and battery replacement. DIY replacement is feasible, ensuring correct battery type and proper disposal of the old battery is crucial. The repair cost was around 37€. This seems to address the immediate concern and prevent potential recurrence.

Thanks for the detailed reply! You've convinced me it's worth trying the battery first. I was being dramatic. I put a new battery in, and everything seems back to normal. Keyless entry is working again, and the error message is gone. It's amazing how such a small thing can cause so much chaos! Thanks for the help.

I've experienced something similar with my Peugeot 807. Your symptoms mirror a situation I encountered. While a low key fob battery is most probable, consider other potential factors. Have you checked the battery voltage? A marginally low voltage can cause this without completely disabling the key. A slightly discharged battery can cause problems that cascade into system errors.
