Fuel trims, huh? I've got an OBD2 scanner, but I haven't really dug into the fuel trim data. What should I be looking for exactly? Like, what values are considered 'normal' vs. showing a problem?

Basically, you're looking for anything too far from zero. Big positive numbers mean the engine's trying to add fuel, which could point to a lean condition caused by a bad injector. Honestly, it's probably time to get it properly diagnosed at a workshop. They can do a proper injector test.

Cheers, appreciate the insight! Ended up taking it to a mechanic, and you were spot on – faulty injector. New injector fitted and all misfires gone, cost me 515€. Runs like a champ now!

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my old Volvo V70. Rough running, hesitation, the whole shebang. For me, it turned out to be a faulty fuel injector. Have you tried checking the fuel trims? That might give you a clue if it's fuel-related.
