Peugeot 807 NOx Catalyst Aging Exhaust Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Peugeot 807 with a gasoline engine exhibited a check engine light due to an error code indicating NOx storage catalyst aging, alongside an identified exhaust leak. The exhaust leak was suspected to affect lambda values, potentially causing the NOx issue. Repairing the exhaust leak and cleaning the catalyst resolved the problem.

Did you also have a physical exhaust leak? If so, did replacing the exhaust parts fix the NOx catalyst aging issue, or was more needed?

Yes, it was definitely an exhaust leak causing the problem. I didn't try to fix it myself. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the leak.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a workshop, and they found an exhaust leak. Replacing the parts and cleaning the catalyst fixed it. It cost 265€. Your advice helped a lot.

I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 807 (different year). Check engine light, error codes... The exhaust system leak is likely the problem. A leak will mess with the exhaust gas, affecting how the NOx catalyst works.
