Peugeot 807 Oil Level Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Peugeot 807 diesel is experiencing an oil level sensor fault, with the oil pressure light occasionally flickering despite the oil level being fine. The issue is suspected to be due to a faulty cable or connection. Initial advice suggests checking and cleaning the sensor plug for corrosion or looseness. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing the faulty sensor at a garage.

Intermittent is the word! Do you reckon just cleaning the sensor plug might do the trick? Did you have the oil pressure light come on too, or just the oil level warning?

Just the oil level warning for me, but start with the plug. If that doesn't sort it, honestly, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They'll have the proper diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem.

I wiggled the connector and it seemed to help briefly, but then the error came back. I booked it into a local garage, and they confirmed it was a faulty sensor. 95€ later and I'm back in business!

I had a similar issue with my 807. Was it intermittent? For me, it turned out to be a bad connection. Check the sensor plug isn't corroded or loose before going too deep.
