Peugeot 807 power loss hissing jerking

Hi, I have a 2010 Peugeot 807 diesel with 135041 km on the clock. Lately, I've noticed reduced engine power, rough running, and a weird jerking when I accelerate. There's also a loud hissing noise at the same time, and my fuel consumption has gone up. I read something about a possible intake manifold flap control problem. Could that be it?

Hissing AND jerking, eh? Sounds like more than just a flap issue. You sure it's not a vacuum leak somewhere? Those symptoms are all over the place!

Okay, a flap issue could cause those symptoms, especially the reduced power and rough running. The hissing might be related if the intake system is affected. To be honest, it's best to get it checked by a pro. Could be the switch intake manifold control is defective. I had a similar problem on a different car, and it messed everything up!
