Peugeot 807 rear ventilation issue

I have a Peugeot 807, built in 2013 with a diesel engine, and I'm experiencing an issue with the rear ventilation. The error memory stores a fault, the climate control unit malfunctions, and the air conditioning no longer cools properly in the back. My Peugeot has 262303 km. Could this be a defective cable or plug connection to the component? I think it might be the flap actuator. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A Peugeot 807 owner is experiencing issues with the rear ventilation system, including a malfunctioning climate control unit and inadequate cooling. The problem may be due to a defective cable or plug connection, with a suspicion of a faulty flap actuator. It is suggested to have the vehicle checked by a professional to confirm the diagnosis and avoid unnecessary part replacements. The workshop confirmed the issue as a defective cable or plug connection, with a repair cost of 95€.

Hey there! I had a similar problem with my Opel Zafira a while back. The symptoms you're describing – error codes, climate control acting up, and poor rear cooling – sound very familiar. In my case, the automatic climate system was throwing a fit because of a faulty flap actuator in the rear ventilation system. Does the Peugeot 807 have separate climate control settings for the rear passengers?

Yes, the Peugeot 807 has separate climate control settings for the rear passengers. In your case, was it difficult to diagnose the faulty flap actuator?

Diagnosing it wasn't too bad, to be honest. The error code pointed me in the right direction, but accessing the actuator itself was a bit of a pain. Given your symptoms and the fact that the error memory stores a fault, as you said, it might be worth getting it checked by a professional. It could well be a simple fix like a cable or plug connection issue, but it's better to be sure than start replacing parts unnecessarily. For me, it eventually turned out to be that it was not correctly connected. I'd suggest you also head to the workshop and let them take a look to be sure you're on the right track.

Thank you for the advice! I've taken it to the workshop and they have confirmed your suspicion. The diagnostic says that it is indeed a defective cable or plug connection. The repair will cost 95€. Many thanks, really appreciate your help!
