Peugeot 807 reduced engine power

Hi, I have a 2012 Peugeot 807, diesel engine, with 142390 km on the clock. Recently, I've noticed reduced engine power and the check engine light keeps popping on. I suspect a defective throttle valve, possibly the accelerator pedal module or its internal electronics. Anyone else experienced this?

Hello! I had a similar issue with my 807. Reduced power, check engine light – sounds familiar. Have you noticed any changes in your fuel efficiency or engine idling? Or maybe a response delay when accelerating?

Thanks for the reply! Fuel efficiency does seem a bit worse. Engine idling is normal, but there's definitely a slight delay when I press the accelerator. What exactly was the issue with yours?

Okay, the delay is definitely a symptom I experienced as well. It's very likely the throttle valve. I strongly advise you visit your local workshop. It is difficult to provide precise technical advice on electronic components like this without further diagnostics.

Thanks for the advice! It was indeed the throttle valve. Garage replaced it, cost me 265€. Runs like new now.
