Peugeot 807 reduced power fault code

I've got a 2014 Peugeot 807 diesel. Recently, it's been throwing a fault code and engine power is noticeably reduced. Mileage is at 12398 km. I suspect it might be related to some dodgy chip tuning that was done before I bought it. Anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar issue with my 807. Reduced power and a fault code pointing towards the ECU. Was the tuning done by a reputable company, or was it some cheap aftermarket job?

Because the previous owner told me, after I bought the car and got the fault code... Considering the symptoms and your suspicions, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop and having them check the ECU and original programming. They should be able to diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a shop, and you were spot on. Turns out the cheap chip tuning was the culprit. They reverted it to the factory settings, and the error is gone. Cost me 180€, but worth it for the peace of mind.
