Peugeot 807 Steering Vibration

Help! My 2009 Peugeot 807 (gasoline engine) is giving me grief. Steering wheel vibrates like crazy, handling feels spongy, and the error memory is showing a fault. Steering is also heavy, like the power steering is failing. I checked what I could, and I suspect a bad cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my 807. Felt like wrestling an octopus, right? Was the wheel alignment checked recently, could be something with the steering column too. Is the error consistent or intermittent? And what about the mileage?

Alignment was fine last time I checked. Error seems pretty consistent. Mileage is at 19392 km. What was the fix in your case? Anything specific I should be looking for?

Okay, with that mileage and consistent error, I'd say don't mess around too much. Mine turned out to be a faulty connection in the steering system somewhere. Best to get it to a workshop. Playing around without proper tools or knowledge is like trying to defuse a bomb blindfolded. The potential damage could be much greater, believe me.

Thanks! Took your advice and went to a workshop. You were spot on – it was a defective cable connection. Repair cost me 95€. Steering is back to normal now. Appreciate the help!
