Summary of the thread
A 2016 Peugeot Bipper owner is experiencing issues with the exhaust flaps, resulting in a louder exhaust and noisy engine after a cold start. A possible cause identified is a defective exhaust flap motor, which is a known issue with this vehicle model. Thanks! I haven't checked the flap motor. Where is it located? Could I fix it myself, or should I take it to a professional? What did the repair cost?

The flap motor was the culprit on mine. Unless you're comfortable wrenching, I'd get it looked at to save yourself a headache. The shop said it was a common issue. I paid around 190€, parts and labor.

That's helpful, thanks! I'll take it to a workshop and mention the flap motor. Hopefully, that's the issue, and it won't cost too much. I appreciate you sharing!

I also own a Bipper, and that sounds familiar. Louder exhaust, error codes... Did you check the flap motor? That was my issue. Is the sound a constant drone, or does it change with engine revs?
