Thanks for the suggestion. Where exactly is the relay switch located, and how do I perform a voltage drop test to check it?

The relay switch location should be indicated in your owner's manual. Typically, it's within the fuse box under the dashboard or in the engine compartment. As for the voltage drop test, you'll need a multimeter. However, if you are not familiar with it, I would suggest taking it to a workshop to prevent further damage.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll check the owner's manual and see if I can locate the relay. If not, I'll take it to a professional to get it checked out. It turned out to be a defective cable and the repair set me back 95€.

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Opel Corsa a few years back. The symptoms were identical, and it turned out to be a defective relay switch. Have you checked the relay switch related to the ignition circuit? A voltage drop test might reveal if the relay is the culprit.
