Peugeot Bipper Oil Pressure Warning

I have a 2010 Peugeot Bipper with a diesel engine and 273844 km on the clock. Recently, a warning light appeared on the speedometer, and the oil pressure warning lamp keeps lighting up. Could this be related to contaminated engine oil? I suspect I might have exceeded the maintenance interval.

Sounds familiar. I've got a Bipper too. Did you check the oil filter? When was the last time you had an oil change?

The oil filter was changed at the last service, about 15,000 km ago. Oil change too. Could the oil itself be the problem, even if relatively recent?

Yeah, the oil could be the culprit even if it's not that old. But with those symptoms, especially on a diesel, I wouldn't risk engine damage. Best to get it checked out at a workshop. Could save you a fortune in the long run.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right; the engine oil was indeed contaminated, likely due to exceeding the maintenance interval. Had an oil change and filter replacement; cost me 165€. Warning lights are gone now.
