Peugeot Bluetooth Connection Problem

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2011 Peugeot 4007 (gasoline engine). My smartphone won't connect to the car's system. The error memory registered an error, and I suspect it's a pairing issue, but I'm not sure. Anyone else seen this?

I had a similar issue with my Volvo. Sounds familiar. I'm not sure what system your Peugeot uses, but with my Volvo, I thought my phone was the problem due to Bluetooth issues. It turned out a module responsible for Bluetooth connectivity was failing. Can you still use the built-in Bluetooth functions like hands-free calling?

The hands-free calling works fine, which makes it even weirder. Could you tell me which module failed in your Volvo, and did you notice any other symptoms?

It was the central infotainment module. No other obvious symptoms at first, just the Bluetooth connectivity going haywire, and occasionally the whole system would freeze. Eventually, it started causing other electrical gremlins. Given that your hands-free is still working, it might be a different module or even just a software glitch, but I'd still suggest a diagnostic visit to a reputable workshop.

Thanks for the guidance! I had it checked, and it turned out to be a corrupted software profile related to the Bluetooth module. They had to re-flash and recalibrate it. Cost me 45€, which isn't too bad.
