Peugeot Boxer Auxiliary Heater Problem

My 2004 Peugeot Boxer with a gasoline engine has an auxiliary heater malfunction. The parking heater won't activate, and there's an error stored. I suspect a defective glow plug. Anyone else had heating system issues with their Boxer?

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra, though it was a diesel. The car heater would just refuse to kick in sometimes, especially when it was really cold. I also kept getting some weird error codes. Did you check the temperature sensor? I remember that causing some headaches for me.

Could you elaborate on the specific symptoms you observed with the temperature sensor in your Astra? Was the blower motor also affected, or was it solely the heating element that failed to activate?

Well, the blower motor seemed to be working fine, but the air coming out was just cold. Eventually, the whole heating system just gave up the ghost, and I had to take it to the workshop. Turned out it was some issue with the heating system itself. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a professional before you start throwing parts at it.

I consulted with a trusted mechanic, who confirmed the defective glow plug. The repair cost 440€, including the replacement of the glow plug and a system diagnostic. Thanks again for the assistance.
