Peugeot Boxer Charge Air Temperature Sensor Issue

My 2004 Peugeot Boxer with a gasoline engine has a check engine light and reduced power at 139772 km. There's also a loud whistling noise when accelerating. Diagnostic shows a charge air temperature sensor error, possibly a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this?

I had a similar issue with my Boxer. Check the sensor connections, as you've already suspected. Sometimes, it's just a loose connection or corroded pins. Have you checked the sensor's voltage and resistance values to see if they are within the correct range?

I haven't checked the voltage and resistance values. How can I test these values to confirm the sensor is defective? Any advice on the correct procedure?

I didn't test the values myself. My symptoms were very similar, and I brought it to a local workshop. They confirmed the sensor issue. Going to the workshop is a good idea. This could prevent you from damaging something.

The vehicle went to a local mechanic who found a faulty connection to the charge air temperature sensor. They replaced the connector, and it seems to be working fine now. The final bill was 95€.
