Peugeot Expert AC Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2016 Peugeot Expert's AC system is not functioning, as it doesn't blow cold air or switch on. The issue could be due to a refrigerant leak, possibly from faulty AC valves, which is a known problem in some models. A professional pressure test is recommended to accurately diagnose the problem, as it could also involve the blower motor resistor.

No hissing sounds that I can remember. I haven't heard anything out of the ordinary. Where exactly would I be listening for the hissing anyway? Could a small leak be the cause of something this dramatic? It's just totally dead!

Yeah, a small leak can definitely kill the whole system. With my Scenic, it turned out to be faulty valves in the AC system itself. Apparently, it's a known issue across a few models. Cost me around 1000€ to get sorted at a workshop, as it needed specialist tools and refrigerant refills. Best bet is to get it pressure tested by a professional to pinpoint the leak. Otherwise, you're just guessing. Could be the blower motor resistor too but since yours doesn't switch on, the AC valves are most likely the culprit.

Thanks a lot for the info! I guess I'll bite the bullet and take it to a workshop, then. Sounds like this is beyond my limited abilities. Hopefully, it won't cost me an arm and a leg, but at least I have some idea of what might be wrong now.

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Scenic. Same symptoms – AC just quit. Did you happen to notice any weird noises coming from the AC compressor before it died? Any hissing sounds, maybe suggesting a refrigerant leak?
