Peugeot Expert AC Problem

Hi, I'm having some trouble with the A/C in my 2018 Peugeot Expert (electric engine). Basically, it just stopped working. The air conditioning system doesn't switch on, and obviously, it's not cooling at all. I also scanned for errors and there's something stored in the error memory. I've checked the obvious things, but I'm not really sure where to go from here. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Peugeot Expert with an electric engine has an A/C system that stopped working, with an error stored in the memory. The problem could be due to undervoltage, a faulty belt tensioner, a refrigerant leak, or a pressure sensor issue. A workshop diagnosis confirmed the cause as undervoltage, which was resolved for a fee.

I had similar A/C issues with my Expert. It turned out to be undervoltage. Has the battery been tested? And are you sure the belt tensioner is working?

Undervoltage, interesting. How did you determine that was the cause? Also, I haven't checked the belt tensioner specifically - what should I be looking for?

The error code pointed towards it. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to diagnose it properly. They can check the electrical system and the A/C compressor. It could also be a refrigerant leak, or the pressure sensor. But, given the error code, undervoltage is likely.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I took it to a workshop and you were spot on - turned out to be undervoltage, and they sorted it for 240€. Appreciate the advice!

Hi, the air conditioning in my 2020 E-2008 has stopped working. It happened when I tried to turn it on using the app. It hasn't worked since. Should I check the 12V battery? What are the correct values, or what could be wrong?

Yes, checking the 12V battery is a good start. Ensure the battery voltage is around 12.6 volts when the car is off and above 13.7 volts when the car is running. If the battery is fine, consider checking the app settings and any related software updates, as connectivity issues might also affect the A/C operation. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
