Peugeot Expert AdBlue System Error

I've got a 2014 Peugeot Expert diesel with about 62000 km. I'm getting an "AdBlue tank empty" error, even though it's full. My code reader shows an AdBlue system error and the van won't start. Sounds like the DEF isn't being injected into the SCR catalyst system. Has anyone seen this and have ideas before I see a mechanic? It's frustrating!

I had something similar with my Expert. Same error messages and refusal to start. It could be a faulty AdBlue injector or a problem with the pump that sends the fluid. I'd check those first. Have you been using lower quality DEF fluid?

Thanks! I've always used AdBlue from reputable brands, so I don't think it's a quality issue. You mentioned the AdBlue injector and pump. Were those the exact components that failed for you? Did you fix it yourself, or did you need a professional?

Yeah, those were the culprits. I wasn't able to diagnose it precisely myself. The error was pointing in this direction and I didn't want to mess anything up, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed the output from the tank to the dosing unit was defective. It's best to get it checked professionally, especially since the system is linked to the engine starting. Don't want to risk further damage.

Appreciate the advice. Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. Just got it back - you were spot on! The garage confirmed the output from the AdBlue tank to the dosing unit was indeed defective. Repair bill came to around 250€. Thanks again!
