Peugeot Expert rough cold start fuel consumption

My 2009 Peugeot Expert diesel is driving me nuts. It's got 156401 km on the clock. Lately, it's been running really rough when I start it cold, plus the fuel consumption has gone up. I scanned it and got an error code. Could it be the PTC heater? Anyone else had this?

Sounds familiar. I've got an Expert too. Had similar symptoms last winter – rough running when cold and definitely noticed the fuel. Did you check if the heat is working at all?

Heat? Well, it takes ages to warm up and never gets properly hot, just kinda lukewarm. Where should I start looking?

Yeah, that sounds exactly like what happened to me. Turned out to be the auxiliary heater. Honestly, it's probably best to get it checked out by a workshop. I ended up paying around 350€ for parts and labor.

350€? Ouch! But thanks, that's a massive help. At least I know what to expect now. I'll book it in.
