Peugeot Expert tire pressure sensor issue

My 2012 Peugeot Expert diesel has a tire pressure light that's been on for a week. The speedometer constantly says 'Tire pressure too low' even though the tire pressure is fine. My mechanic read the error memory and found a corresponding error. Could the sensor be defective?

I also drive an Expert and had a similar problem. The error message came on even though the tire pressure was correct. Have you checked the sensor battery? After a few years, it's often just empty.

Thanks, I haven't thought about the battery yet. Is it easy to change, or do I have to replace the whole sensor including the air valve?

I'm pretty sure you have to replace the whole sensor. Unfortunately, you can't just change the battery. I'd recommend going to a workshop. They can tell you exactly what's going on and replace the sensor if necessary.

Thanks! I went to the workshop today. It was the tire pressure sensor; the battery was empty. Replacing it cost me 280€. Now everything is working as it should again.
