Peugeot Expert transmission issues

My 2004 Peugeot Expert gasoline is having trouble! The transmission indicator and check engine lights are on. It's in emergency mode, and the automatic transmission isn't shifting right at all. It slips, the shifts are unclean, there's a grinding noise, and it's stored an error. Could this be a radiator oil pressure thing? I'm worried it's overheating or a radiator coolant leak. Any ideas?

Sounds like a potential issue with the radiator oil pressure, leading to the transmission woes. Check the cable and plug connections to the component for defects. Any recent work done on the cooling system or noticed any coolant leaks or car overheating before this started? Also, have you checked the oil cooler?

Thanks! Cable and plug connections, got it. How would I go about leak detection? And the oil cooler, where exactly is that located, and what am I looking for?

Leak detection can be tricky without proper tools. The oil cooler is usually near the radiator. Look for signs of leaks or damage. Given the symptoms and potential cause, it might be best to take it to a workshop for diagnosis and proper repair. Messing with the auto box can be dodgy.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was a defective cable connection. They fixed it for 95€. Runs like new now!
