Peugeot iOn electrical gremlins

I've got a 2016 Peugeot iOn, electric engine, and I'm seeing some weirdness. 253440 km on the clock. Sporadic errors pop up – driving mode issues, error lamps light up randomly, audio/nav systems glitching out. Sometimes it feels like a temporary shutdown, unresponsive controls. Scan tool shows errors stored. Anyone seen this?

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I have a Peugeot iOn too (not sure about the year), and I had similar symptoms. For me, it was the BUS system freaking out, causing all sorts of random electrical gremlins. Did you check the cable connections to the control unit? Could be a defective connection there.

Well, I'm not 100% sure, of course, but the symptoms sound really similar. For me, it was definitely the cable connection. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it myself unless you're really confident with electrical systems. I took mine to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quickly. I'd recommend getting it checked by a pro to be safe.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. At least I have a direction to point them in. They quoted 155€ to fix the cable connection, so hopefully that's all it is.
