Peugeot iOn lighting fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Peugeot iOn is experiencing a lighting issue where the lights turn on by themselves, and an error is stored. The problem might be due to a faulty light switch or a bad connection. A suggested solution is to check the cable and plug connections on the switch, which may require accessing behind the dashboard. If not comfortable with car electrics, taking the car to a workshop is recommended.

Thanks! When you say check the connections, do you mean pulling the dashboard apart? Is it easily accessible, or is it a major job?

You'll need to get behind the dash a little, but not fully apart. It's fiddly, but doable if you're careful. Honestly, if you're not super comfortable with car electrics, you might be better off just taking it to a workshop. It cost me 95€ to get it sorted when mine went bonkers.

Okay, that's good to know. Thanks; I'll probably just take it to a workshop and save myself the headache. I'll post the solution after the repair.

I had something similar happen with my iOn! It drove me nuts for a while. Check the cable and plug connections on the switch itself. That's usually the culprit.
