Peugeot iOn parking aid fault
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Peugeot iOn is experiencing a parking aid fault, with the display indicating 'Parking assistant without function.' An OBD scanner confirms an error, though the rear sensors appear clean. Possible causes include issues with wiring or connectors to the radar sensors, such as loose or corroded connections. Suggested solutions involve checking the wiring and using the OBD scanner to identify the specific faulty sensor, or consulting a garage for further diagnosis.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the wiring yet, I'll have a look tomorrow when it's light. Is it likely to be the wiring even if all the sensors look ok visually? And how would I know which sensor is faulty?

Even if the sensors look fine on the outside, the wiring or the plug itself could be damaged. It happened to me once – tiny crack in the insulation, causing an intermittent fault. As for identifying the specific sensor, your OBD scanner should give you a more detailed error code that points to a particular sensor's location - otherwise you might be better off getting it checked out at a garage.

Ok, makes sense. I'll check the wiring carefully, and if I can't find anything obvious, I'll get it booked in somewhere. Thanks a lot for your help!

I had a similar issue on my old car, though it wasn't a Peugeot. Sounds like it could be a few things. Have you checked the wiring and connectors to the radar sensors? Sometimes a loose or corroded connection can cause this. Also, do you know which sensor is throwing the error?
