Peugeot Partner Turbo Issue

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2021 Peugeot Partner diesel, 269500 km. The check engine light is on, and it jerks when accelerating. I'm hearing whistling and loud hissing when accelerating; sometimes the engine stalls at idle, and my fuel consumption has gone up. I've noticed reduced engine power too. I suspect it might be the turbo boost pressure sensor. Could a defective cable or plug connection to the component cause these symptoms?

Summary of the thread

A 2021 Peugeot Partner diesel with 269,500 km is experiencing issues such as the check engine light, jerking during acceleration, whistling and hissing noises, engine stalling at idle, increased fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. The suspected cause is a problem with the turbo boost pressure sensor, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. The solution involved taking the vehicle to a workshop, where a faulty connection to the boost pressure sensor was identified and repaired, resolving the symptoms.

I had almost the exact same symptoms on my Partner! Check engine light, jerking, the whole shebang. A whistling noise too, now that you mention it. I’d be looking at the turbocharger system first. Has the car been serviced regularly?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, it's been serviced regularly according to schedule. I'm leaning towards the boost pressure sensor because of the whistling noise. Did you manage to diagnose your issue?

Yeah, it was a pain to diagnose. Turns out, it was a faulty connection to the boost pressure sensor. If you're hearing hissing, you probably have a boost leak somewhere, so the sensor isn't reading right. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop to get it checked out properly. It's better than messing around with the turbo yourself.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. They found a defective cable at the boost pressure sensor. Repair cost me 95€. All the symptoms are gone now.
