Peugeot RCZ Manifold Pressure Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Peugeot RCZ with a gasoline engine exhibited symptoms such as an intermittently illuminated check engine light, reduced engine power, poor engine response, and higher fuel consumption. The suspected causes were a faulty manifold pressure sensor and a large vacuum leakage. A professional diagnosis confirmed these issues, and replacing the sensor resolved the problem, eliminating the symptoms.

The idle is indeed somewhat erratic. I've visually inspected the vacuum lines, but haven't conducted a thorough pressure test. Is that where you found your vacuum leakage?

While a visual inspection is a good start, the leak might be subtle. Given the symptoms and the erratic idling, I'd strongly advise getting a professional diagnosis to pinpoint the exact location of the leak and confirm the sensor's functionality. I think that will be worthwhile.

A trip to the workshop was the best course of action. The fault was indeed a faulty manifold pressure sensor with large vacuum leakage. The total repair bill came to 235€. The sensor replacement resolved the issue and the symptoms have disappeared. I appreciate your advice!

I also drive a Peugeot RCZ and am experiencing a similar problem. I also suspect the manifold pressure sensor. Is the car idling erratically, by any chance? Have you checked for any obvious cracks or loose connections in the vacuum lines?
