Peugeot RCZ Poor Cold Start
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Peugeot RCZ is experiencing poor engine performance during cold starts, suspected to be caused by a faulty cold start injector. The issue is characterized by rough idling and near stalling. A suggestion to use a fuel injector cleaner was made, but it proved ineffective. Ultimately, a visit to a garage confirmed a defective injector, which was replaced, resolving the problem.

Indeed, this is a good description of the issue. Injector problems, I suspected that. Did you try, by any chance, fuel injector cleaner or test the injectors?

Tried the cleaner, didn't do much to be honest. I'd suggest a proper injector test, but realistically, a workshop visit is probably the best move. They can accurately diagnose and replace the defective injector.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to my local garage and it was indeed a defective injector. The repair cost 515€. Problem solved!

I had similar symptoms with my RCZ, though I never properly diagnosed it myself. Rough idle on a cold start? Almost stalls sometimes? Fuel delivery issues are common. Could be worth looking at the injectors.
