Well, I did some basic checks myself, but frankly, automotive sensors can be tricky. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They diagnosed a faulty camshaft sensor and replaced it. I’d recommend a professional diagnosis to be sure. Better safe than sorry, isn't it?

I appreciate the advice. I will take the vehicle to a workshop for a diagnosis. Repair cost was 95€. Resolved now.

Interesting. I had similar symptoms with my Traveller. Rough idling, check engine light, the whole shebang. Camshaft sensor, eh? Did you check for any obvious signs of damage to the wiring harness? A loose connection perhaps?
