Could you elaborate on where exactly I should be looking for these cable connections? Any specific areas in the steering column I should focus on?

I'm not comfortable advising you to disassemble the steering column; there are safety implications. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to have them check the connectivity problem. It's likely the control module cable, but they can diagnose properly. Could save you money in the long run.

Understood, I appreciate the advice. I took your recommendation and had the vehicle inspected. The repair cost was 95€, and it seems the cable connection in the steering wheel was indeed defective. Thank you again for pointing me in the right direction.

I had a similar issue with my Pilot. Check the cable connections in the steering wheel. A defective connection in the steering wheel control module is likely. What error codes are you seeing?
