Pilot tire pressure ABS and steering issues

My 2014 Honda Pilot with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. The tire pressure low warning keeps popping up. I've checked the pressure with my tire gauge multiple times, and it seems fine, but the ABS lamp lights up, I feel a vibrating/shaking steering wheel and it feels like I need to apply increased effort when steering. What gives? It almost feels like the power steering has failed. Could I have a flat tire even if the pressure seems okay?

Summary of the thread

A 2014 Honda Pilot is experiencing persistent tire pressure warnings, ABS light activation, and steering issues, including a vibrating steering wheel and increased steering effort. Despite checking tire pressure, the problem persists, suggesting it might not be a simple flat tire. A possible cause identified is a defective valve in one of the tires, leading to a slow leak and affecting the ABS and power steering systems. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a workshop, which confirmed the valve issue and resolved the problem.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Pilot. Did you check all the tires? Sometimes it's hard to spot a slow leak. Is the shaking constant, or does it get worse at certain speeds?

Yes, I've checked all four tires multiple times with my tire gauge. The shaking seems to be worse at higher speeds. I'm not seeing any obvious punctures. Could it be something other than just a low tire or a punctured tire?

Given the ABS light and steering issues along with the shaking, and that you are not seeing an obvious puncture, it's likely not just a simple flat. In my case, it turned out to be a defective valve in the tire. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a workshop ASAP. Those symptoms together sound serious.

Thanks for the insight! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective valve in one of the tires, causing a slow leak and messing with the ABS and power steering. Repair cost me 280€. I appreciate the help!
