Pino Bumper Antenna Issues

I'm having a bizarre issue with my 2010 Nissan Pino, gasoline engine. It's only done 44335 km. My bumper antenna seems to be causing havoc. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, the central locking is playing up (sometimes not working at all!), and now I can't even start the engine without the key in the ignition lock. Could it be the antenna? Is it even possible for a faulty antenna to cause all this? I've checked the fuses; they seem fine.

Wow, that sounds familiar! I have a Nissan Pino too (though not sure about the year), and I had similar issues a while back. The central locking going haywire, especially. Could be signal interference? Did you recently install any new electronic devices in the car?

Signal interference, interesting. No, I haven't installed anything new recently. It just started happening out of the blue. So, you really think it could be related to the antenna? What exactly was your issue, and how did you resolve it?

Yeah, it does sound like the same problem. In my case, it turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection to the antenna. The error messages, the locking issues... all gone after fixing the antenna. Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked out properly.

Thanks a lot for the insight! I'll definitely get it checked out at a workshop. From what you're saying, it really does seem like the antenna is the culprit. The mechanic confirmed it was a cable issue with the bumper antenna, just like you said. Repair cost me 95€. Appreciate the help!
