Pixo outside temperature sensor fault

Hi, I've got a 2010 Nissan Pixo with a gasoline engine and I'm having trouble with what I think is the outside temperature sensor. The error memory has a fault stored, the AC won't kick on, the spray nozzles are frozen when it's cold, and the mirror heating isn't working. Anyone seen this before? I'm guessing it's a bad connection somewhere.

Greetings. The symptoms you're describing certainly point towards a faulty outside temperature sensor or its associated wiring. Are you certain the sensor itself is functioning correctly? Have you attempted to trace the wiring from the sensor back to the control unit to check for any visible damage or corrosion on the cable or plug connection?

Thanks for the reply! I haven't checked the sensor itself, I'm not really sure how to test it. Any advice on how to do that? And where exactly is the control unit located? That's the part I'm most unsure about.

Given your description and uncertainty about testing, it might be prudent to have a professional diagnose the issue. The control unit's location can vary, and without specific schematics, further probing could cause harm. The error code paired with your symptoms strongly suggest a cabling fault. A workshop can confirm the diagnosis and repair the connection, or replace the sensor if necessary.

Alright, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a shop and you were right – it was a corroded connector on the sensor. They cleaned it up and everything's working again. Cost me 95€.
