Platina brake booster error ABS issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Nissan Platina owner experienced poor braking performance and an error message related to the brake booster pressure sensor, possibly linked to a previous brake system bleed. The issue was suspected to be related to the ABS system. It was suggested to use a more advanced diagnostic tool to check the ABS module directly. Upon visiting a workshop, it was confirmed that the ABS system was indeed the problem due to incorrect brake bleeding, and the issue was resolved by clearing the error.

That's interesting about the ABS. I was so focused on the brake booster itself. I'm using a pretty standard OBD2 scanner. Do you think a more advanced diagnostic tool would be needed to specifically check the ABS?

Yes, a more advanced diagnostic tool is advisable to interrogate the ABS module directly. Considering your symptoms and the potential link to the brake bleeding procedure, there's a reasonable chance the issue lies within the hydraulic brake system's control unit. I recommend going to a workshop. It cost me about 90€ to get it fixed.

I took it to a workshop and you were spot on - the ABS system was the culprit because I bled the brake system incorrectly, which caused the pressure sensor failure. They cleared the error and the braking is back to normal. I really appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my 12 Opel Astra. Same symptoms: error message, reduced braking. The error codes pointed to the brake booster too. In my case, the root cause ended up being the ABS system. Can you confirm if the diagnostic tool you used can read ABS specific error codes?
