Platina washer fluid warning

My 2003 Nissan Platina, gasoline engine, is throwing a 'washer fluid low' warning. The system doesn't work, VCDS shows an error, but the reservoir is full. I suspect a bad sensor, but with 163677 km, any ideas before I tear it apart?

I had something similar with my Platina. Check the pump itself; sometimes they get clogged or give out. The warning light comes on even if the pump is the culprit, not just low fluid. Did you check the fuses?

Good shout! I hadn't considered the pump being the trigger. Where is the pump located and how difficult is it to get to? And which fuse exactly?

The pump is usually attached to the washer fluid reservoir itself, often at the bottom. Access can be a bit tight depending on your model, but nothing too crazy. Before you dive in, I'd suggest having a workshop take a quick look. They can diagnose it properly in minutes.

You were spot on! The pump was the culprit; it had seized. 25€ later and she's squirting like new! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
