Porter Coolant Loss

Damn it! My 2018 Hyundai Porter diesel is acting up. Coolant level is constantly low, engine light's on, and the error memory isn't helping. I checked, and I'm losing coolant somewhere. I'm not seeing any obvious leaks around the cooling fan, radiator fluid reservoir, water pump, radiator cap, or radiator hoses. Any ideas before I lose my mind?

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Hyundai Porter diesel is experiencing coolant loss, with the engine light on and no visible leaks around common components. The rapid coolant loss suggests a potential internal issue, such as a head gasket problem. However, after taking the vehicle to a workshop for a pressure test, the issue was identified as a leaky hose, which was repaired for a small fee.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I've got a Porter too, and had a similar issue. Is it losing coolant quickly, or just a slow drain over time? Have you pressure tested the system?

It's a fairly rapid loss, noticeable within a day or two of topping it up. I haven't pressure tested it myself, no. What was the eventual diagnosis and fix for yours?

Mine was the head gasket, unfortunately. But given the rapid loss you're describing, it might be worth taking it to a workshop. They'll be able to pressure test it properly and pinpoint the leak.

Cheers. I appreciate the heads-up. Bit the bullet and took it in. Turns out it was a leaky hose, thankfully! Cost me 52€ to fix. Thanks for the advice!
