Porter handsfree microphone failure
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Hyundai Porter is experiencing a failure with its hands-free microphone, rendering telephony and speech recognition non-functional, while music playback remains unaffected. The issue is likely due to a defective infotainment system, as indicated by error messages related to the audio system. The suggested solution is to have the infotainment system replaced at a workshop, which resolved similar issues for others.

Yeah, exactly! Music still works fine, but the mic is completely dead. Like, the system isn't even registering any audio input. Was that the same for you? What ended up being the fix?

Yep, that's the same deal. It's almost certainly the infotainment system. I'd bite the bullet and get it to a workshop. I ended up having to replace mine, cost a fortune. But telephony and speech recognition worked fine after that.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Looks like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. They quoted me 815€ for the repair... Thanks for confirming though, at least I know I'm not going crazy! Cheers!

Dude, I had something similar happen in my Porter. Was telephony dead as a doornail? Could still listen to music, but no calls, no speech recognition, nada? Sounds like the same damn gremlins are at work.
