Power Steering Issue

Yes, it's definitely worse at lower speeds, especially when maneuvering into parking spots. I was thinking of checking the connections first. Do you remember what the issue was with yours? Was it connected to the electric power steering, and would a faulty connector cause it?

Yeah, sounds very familiar. I didn't diagnose it myself – took it straight to a workshop because it felt unsafe! Turns out it was a defective cable or plug on the power steering component itself. Considering your symptoms, I really think visiting a repair shop would be a good idea. They'll check the steering column or steering rack. Do this before it gets worse and costs more money!

Thanks for the insight, that's really helpful. I've booked it in for a check-up; I'll mention your experience. They found a defect in the connector; the estimated repair cost is 95€. This is consistent with what you experienced! Thanks again for your help

Hey! I had a similar problem on my 107 not too long ago. Is it more difficult to steer at low speeds, like when you're parking? I wonder if it could be related to the electric steering system those models use.
