President electric steering column fault

I've got a 2008 Nissan President with a gasoline engine, and the electric steering column adjustment has gone kaput. The error memory's storing a fault, and the column just won't adjust anymore. I've checked the fuses and had a quick look at the wiring harness, but I'm not seeing anything obvious. Any ideas before I start tearing the dash apart?

I have a President as well, though I can't recall the exact build year at the moment. I experienced something similar. Has the vehicle been involved in an accident or collision recently, or has it been exposed to extreme conditions?

No accidents or extreme conditions that I'm aware of. It's been babied its whole life. What exactly was happening with yours when it had the issue?

The column would only move intermittently and then stopped completely. If the fault code indicates an electrical issue, it's most likely a cable or plug connection problem, as you suspect. I'd recommend having a workshop investigate, it might be a relatively inexpensive fix.

It was indeed a defective cable or plug connection, just like you and the error code suggested. Workshop managed to sort it out for a reasonable 95€. Much appreciated!
