Previa Air Suspension Faulty Valve

My 2004 Toyota Previa diesel with 150k km has air suspension issues. The van won't lift, leans to one side, and shows an error message with a fault code. The ride is bumpy. I suspect a leak or faulty valve in the air bellows. Thoughts before I start?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue on my old Audi A6. It turned out to be a faulty valve on one of the air springs. Exact same symptoms – leaning, error messages. Have you checked the individual bellows for damage or air leaks? You might hear hissing.

Thanks! When you say 'faulty valve,' do you mean the valve attached to the air spring? Or is there another valve controlling airflow to each spring?

Yep, on the Audi it was the valve on top of the air spring unit. Apparently, a common failure point. Unless you're confident with pneumatic systems, I'd suggest a workshop. Air suspension can be risky. Peace of mind is priceless!

Appreciate the advice! I took it to a specialist. You were spot on – it was a faulty valve on the air bellow. Repair cost 590€ including parts and labor. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
