Previa Tire Pressure ABS Steering Issues

Certain? Well, I visually inspected the tires and didn't spot any obvious punctures. I also checked the pressure manually, and it seemed within the normal range, albeit perhaps a tad low in one tire. Could a faulty tire sensor be triggering all of this, even if the pressure is only marginally off? Is that tire sensor also responsible for the ABS and power steering issues?

A faulty tire sensor is certainly a possibility, but in my case, the pressure loss, even a slight one, was enough to trigger the warning system and, potentially, interact with the ABS system due to the changes in wheel speed. Given the other symptoms you are experiencing, I strongly recommend a thorough diagnostic check at a reputable workshop. Have them check the tire pressure, tire monitoring system and look for anything related to the power steering failure.

Thank you for the insight. I appreciate you confirming a similar experience. I've taken your advice and visited a workshop. Turns out the valve in one tire was indeed defective, causing a slow leak and triggering the pressure warning and subsequent issues. The repair cost came to 280€. All sorted now.

Interesting symptoms you describe. I drive a Previa myself, and I recall battling something similar not too long ago. The tire pressure warning was the initial indicator, but I didn't experience the ABS or steering issues to the same extent. However, the tire pressure loss was indeed the culprit. Are you absolutely certain that all inflated tires hold pressure?
