Primastar Fuel Filter Heater Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Nissan Primastar diesel exhibited reduced engine power, poor response, increased fuel consumption, and uneven idling, with an error memory indicating a fault. The suspected cause was a faulty fuel filter heater cable or plug. After consulting with others who experienced similar issues, the problem was confirmed to be a faulty connection in the fuel filter heater circuit, which was resolved by replacing the connector.

Could you elaborate on the fuel line issue you had? Were there any visual signs like leaks, or was it more subtle?

Nah, nothing obvious. Just felt like crap to drive. Eventually took it to a shop, they sorted it. Best bet is to do the same.

Following that advice and after checking around, I took it to a workshop. It was a faulty connection in the fuel filter heater circuit, like I thought. The repair, including a new connector, was about 95€. It's running fine now. Thanks for the help.

Sounds familiar! I've got a Primastar too, and had similar hassle. Check your fuel lines, could be that! Engine stalling is no fun.
