Primastar Overheating Electric Fan Issue

My 2023 Nissan Primastar (diesel) is overheating like crazy. Mileage is at 65767 km. The electric fan isn't kicking in, even when the engine needs it. Could a dodgy cable or plug be the problem?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar cooling system issue with my old Citroen C4. Overheating can be a pain. Have you checked the fan relay and the temperature sensor? Those were the problems on mine.

The fan relay and temperature sensor... okay, where exactly are they located? Not super familiar with all the bits and bobs under the hood of the Primastar, to be honest!

Tracing wires can be a headache. Honestly, given it's a pretty new van, and overheating can do serious damage, I'd say get it to a workshop. Could save you a lot of money in the long run. A faulty cable or plug connection sounds like it.

You were spot on! Took it to a workshop, and it was indeed a defective connection. Repair cost me 95€ Thanks for the advice!
