Primastar transmission issues
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Nissan Primastar with 72,349 km is experiencing transmission issues, including warning lights, emergency mode, slipping, unclean shifting, and grinding noises. Yes, I checked the oil level, and it seems fine. How did you resolve your problem?

In my case, the garage confirmed that the oil level was indeed the issue, even though it appeared fine at first glance. They suggested checking the sensor itself for any damage, but in the end, it needed to be replaced. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed and repaired.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out the gearbox oil level was a bit low, and the temperature sensor was faulty. Replacing the sensor and topping up the oil fixed everything. Total cost was 365€.

Hello! I had a similar problem with my Primastar. Those symptoms do sound familiar. Was it the gearbox oil level which was too low?
